We woke and spent the morning at the hotel swimming pool. It was a nice, large outdoor pool, and we swam for perhaps an hour or two. We then packed some things together and took the bus, which stopped right in front of the hotel, back to Cannes, where we walked to the beach. The beach was nice, with a clean, grainy sand and modest waves. There were plenty of people around, including a number of topless women. We swam in the ocean and had lunch and ice cream from a stand up by the road.

Late in the day, we took the bus back to our room. For dinner, we asked the hotel receptionist to order us pizza from “Mister Pizza,” which was quite good.
