We’re on our way!  Sitting on the airplane now on the first leg to Atlanta. The girls are watching a movie on the laptop and I’m sitting next to Phyllis right behind them, with Judy behind us.

The morning was a little bit stressful – we were a bit late to the airport, and then had to wait longer in the check in lines than we expected. We made it to the gates just as the plane was boarding. But things are relaxed now. Phyllis is sleeping.  I think she just took an Ambien.

I sat next to Kaitlin for the takeoff. She had fun looking out of the window during the takeoff. We were looking forward to being above the clouds but it turns out that we’re in a cloudless sky right now.

My clearest memory so far is seeing the girls walking side by side carrying their little backpacks on their backs, each with a little Teddy bear peeking out of the top.

Amber:  I sat next to my dad on the plane. We were getting ready for takeoff. We had a pillow and blanket. We were going to be on the plane over night which meant we were going to have dinner on the plane. There was a tv screen that showed us the way to get to London.
