We awoke, packed up, and caught the bus to the train station. I watched the bags while the others collected some food for the trip, and then we boarded the train to Montpellier. This was sort of a compromise choice, as we are trying to fill time between Cannes and arriving in Barcelona on the 11th, and the train connections in this part of the country are not the best. Marseille might have been a better choice, but the hotels were all filled.
After more beautiful scenery along the Mediterranean coast, and watching Tangled with the girls, we arrived in Montpellier around noon. As always, it took some time and hassle to figure out the local tram system, find our hotel, and transport our bags to the hotel. We have been slowly accumulating stuff throughout the trip, and the bags are starting to get bulky. The hotel turned out to be sort of a business type place located in the suburbs, but it was fairly close to a tram stop and so was not too inconvenient.
After dropping our bags, we headed back to the central, old part of town, by Place de la Comedie. We were extremely hungry but had trouble finding a place to eat that would work for everyone. We searched the square, a mall nearby, and the surrounding streets, before finally settling on a pizza place. Afterwards, we had ice cream and I took Amber to get a crepe from a street vendor. It was pretty late by that time, so we headed back to the rooms, watched a movie and went to sleep.
