We woke and went straight into the old town for breakfast at a shop. We then took the tour through the actual castle, which sits inside the walls of the city. We had an audio guide, which the girls liked. The castle was very impressive, as it had been preserved almost in full and we were able to tour through the keep, along the top if the walls, and so on. The views of the surrounding countryside from the walls was amazing.
After the castle, we went inside the cathedral, also inside the old town. It was small in scale but very beautiful. A four man choir was singing and sounded great inside the echoing walls.
I then split from the others to go to the train station to get reservations for our next stop, stopping first for a bite at McDonalds. It took quite a while to get things straightened out. Eventually I rejoined the others back at the room, and took the girls for another swim in the pool.
We then left Judy for the evening and the four of us essentially retraced my steps from the previous evening, walking through the town, along the river, past the campground, through the fields, and then back through the town again after dark. We took lots of very cool pictures. We then capped it off with a ride on an old carosel outside the walls of the city, and then returned to the room for the evening.
