We took the morning train into Barcelona, and met up with Tina and her family at a metro stop and then proceeded together to our rooms, which consisted of a large apartment not far from the Arc de Triumph.

After getting settled, we decided to walk down to the beach, stopping along the way for dinner. Tina and I split fish and seafood paella, while the others had pasta.

At the beach, I walked with the kids to the waters edge, where Louie quickly managed to become completely immersed despite not wearing swim clothes. After cleaning him up, we returned to the room.
