It was drizzling in the morning when we walked back to the train station. The train to Aix Les Bains was delayed for about an hour, but the station was at least a large one where we could wait inside.
By the time we arrived, it was pouring rain. Fortunately, our rooms were very close to the station and easy to find, so we trudged through the downpour. The rooms were nice, which was good because we couldn’t really go out until it finally stopped raining late afternoon. We walked through the older pedestrian district behind the hotel looking for food, but pretty much everything was closed. Eventually we found a bakery selling sandwiches and bought some there to take back with us to the room to eat.
Phyllis wasn’t feeling well and she fell asleep while the girls watched tv on the computer. I walked through the town down to the lake. It was a pleasant, small city or large town. Nothing spectacular, but very pretty and calm.
When I returned, P was still asleep, and indeed she kept sleeping all the way through the night to the next day. Meanwhile, I went out to pick up a pizza for dinner.
